~RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS~
- Classes begin this Sunday at West Highlands at 10:00am for Levels Primary to 5. Catechists for children in levels 7 to Confirmation resume at their usual times and locations. See special announcement below concerning Level 6.
- Level 6 will move from Wednesday evenings to Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00pm in the sacristy of the church beginning January 10th.
- The Catechist for children in Confirmation will advise families of when classes resume in the new year.
- The children have participated in an Advent project supporting the Holy Childhood Association over the Advent Season. Children received small milk cartons to place their pennies in as they thought about certain tasks outlined on an Advent calendar. The milk cartons are to be returned to class on January 10th. Their contributions will assist the Holy Childhood Association with projects of children helping children throughout the world.
PARISH PRAYER WALL
Parishioners are encouraged to place prayer intentions on our prayer wall, located in the church. Frequent visits to the wall will encourage you to pray for the intentions placed there. Intentions will be mentioned from time to time in our Prayers of the Faithful. On Pentecost Sunday this year, intentions will be offered in a prayer ritual at all the masses.
COMMUNION PYX
Do you have a pyx for distributing communion to the sick and shut ins that you are not using? Please take the pyx to church and give it to Howard, Father or Maria.

~STEWARDSHIP CORNER~
Jesus whom the Father called “my beloved Son” is also the “Servant of all”. We who are baptized in Christ are called to follow His example and use our Time, Talent and Treasure in the service of God, our faith community and our neighbors.
~A Little Humor~
An elderly couple professed how much they loved children. One day a boy rode his bicycle through the fresh cement of their new driveway. The husband was in a rage. His wife said, “But dear, you always say you love children.” He replied, “I do love them in the abstract, but not in the concrete.”
~FAMILY MEMBERS IN HOSPITAL~
It would be appreciated if the Parish Office could be informed of the admittance of family members to our local hospital. This will ensure that all parishioners will receive a visit from the pastoral team. Please note when you are admitting a family member, you must tell the hospital that the person being admitted is Catholic. The admitting clerk is not permitted to ask if you are a member of church.
~VOTIVE CANDLES~
We often light a votive light as a prayerful reminder of someone or for a special intention. It is a practice that is centuries old. The 50 cent offering at Holy Family supports youth activities in the Parish and purchases votive candles for the stand. Funds were used to assist our young people who attended the Steubenville last summer. Please continue to support our youth in this manner.
~LET’S TALK ABOUT STAYING HEALTHY IN MID LIFE AND BEYOND~
