~ATTENTION READERS PRACTICE SESSIONS FOR EASTER SERVICES~

Good Friday practice– Friday, April 2nd- at 9:00am

Easter Vigil practice– Saturday, April 3rd - at 9:30am



~LITTLE ROCK SCRIPTURE SERIES~

The Little Rock Scripture Series will break for Holy Week. Little Rock resumes Monday, April 5th at 7:00pm and Thursday, April 8th at 10:30 in the Church Hall.



~Holy Week Schedule~

Holy Thursday, April 1st
Mass of the Lord’s Supper- 7:00pm
Reposition Blessed Sacrament until 10:00pm

Good Friday Services, April 2nd
11:00am Family Celebration (no communion)
Solemn Service – 3:00pm

Holy Saturday, April 3rd
Easter Vigil – 8:30pm
Parishioners are asked to bring a bell to ring.
Please note there is no 4:30 Mass on that day.

Easter Sunday, April 4th
9:00am and 11:15am



~TRANSITION COMMITTEE~

  1. The committee is looking for donations of artifacts from our founding parishes of St. Charles Borromeo and Nativity of Our Lady Parishes. A receptacle will be placed at the church entrance to receive items beginning after Easter. You might consider photos, rosaries, small crosses or newspaper items that might be included in the time capsule. Items should be donated by April 30th.
  2. The committee is also looking for people interested in scrapbooking. These people would assemble photos, articles and clippings of the history of our founding parishes. Please call Frank Allen 545-2886 or Celina White 667-1222 for more information or if you would like to be a participant in this newly formed committee.


~RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS~



~STEUBENVILLE ATLANTIC 2010
“THE WORD BECAME FLESH”~

Steubenville Atlantic for 2010 will take place at St. FX University in Antigonish; from July 30th to August 1st. Cost of this year's event is $185.00 per participant who registers before March 31st. Those registering after March 31st will pay $210.00. A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is due within 10 days of the group's registration. We would like to form our parish group to meet the March deadline. The event is open to those preparing to receive Confirmation this year and also to High School youth. Interested young people, please call Deacon Howard 667-2523, Geoff Baldwin 686-3021 or Maria Boudreau 661-0667 for more information.



~LENTEN FOLDERS~

Please remember to fill out and return your folder before Easter. We ask that you write your name and envelope number on the folder.



~TREATS & TREASURE GIFT SHOP~

The Treats and Treasures gift shop at the Cumberland Health Care Centre is in need of people to knit and donate baby sweaters and bonnets. Many of their knitters are getting older and finding fine work such as this too difficult. For more information please call Jane at 667-8175.



~FREE INCOME TAX PREPARATION~

Are you a senior or low income person or family? As a service to parishioners, Maria Kirkpatrick will prepare your Income Tax return free of charge. Please contact Maria at the Parish Office at 667-2523 for more particulars. All information will be kept confidential.



~STEWARDSHIP CORNER~

We are gifted with strengths and talents that are freely given to build God's kingdom. How do I use mine to strengthen and make my parish a vibrant community?
