~WE CELEBRATE FIRST EUCHARIST THIS SUNDAY~
Always a joyful event for the whole Parish, this Sunday at the 11:15 celebration of Eucharist we will be welcoming our newest communicants Jarrett Bacon, Ethan Bishop, Emily Crockett, Sebastian DiMichelle, Savannah Fage, Mattigan MacLean, Logan Pipes and Seth Richard and their families. They have been preparing well over the past catechetical season and, with their families, will be hosted at a reception by the Catholic Women's League following the Mass. Two young people will not be present this Sunday and will receive First Eucharist on May 9th at 11:15.
~LEGACY PROJECT OFF TO A GREAT START~
Last weekend at all the Masses, Mary Lynne Chapman introduced the Parish to our latest fundraising project and, from all we have heard, it has been well received. There was an accompanying flyer in the bulletin and additional copies of that are available on the tables at the back of the church today. For those interested and not able to pick up a form, a downloadable version is available on our Website. Legacy Fund Form
~GOOD NEWS AND CONGRATULATIONS~
Chelsea Nichols, daughter of Ruth (9:00 choir director) and Jonathan Nichols, has been awarded the prestigious Clarendon Scholarship to Oxford University to pursue her doctorate studies in Fine Arts History. The Clarendon Scholarship would be the equivalent of a Rhodes Scholarship.
~PRIESTS ON RETREAT~
In this Year of the Priests your prayers are asked for the priests of the Diocese as they are on retreat this week from late Sunday until Friday afternoon. For this reason, there will be no Masses scheduled this week in the church
~LAST CALL FOR TIME CAPSULE ITEMS~
May 2nd is the deadline for donations to be placed in a time capsule to be located in the new facility. Items (photographs, newspaper articles or other memorabilia) from our former parishes of Saint Charles Borromeo and Nativity of Our Lady can be placed in the container located at the church entrance. They can be also brought to the Church Office this week during office hours. The time capsule is a project of the Transition Committee. Parishioners who have ideas of how we might move from our current facility to the new one should contact Frank at 545-2886 or Celina 667-1222. Watch for news on a parish photo contest and an open house of the present church in May, open to the public, in upcoming bulletins.

- Children are discussing how they participate in family life, various groups and teams as well as parish life. The aim of these discussions will assist young people to anticipate their move to our new facility in the fall. Children will be asked to draw pictures showing their involvement in moving to our new church complex. Entries are to be completed by May 9th and hopefully be displayed in the church hall on May 16th, the date of our closing. All entries will receive a prize. We hope many children will participate.
