Saint-Charles - Nativity Catholic Cemetary
Holy Family Parish is responsible for the Saint Charles- Nativity Catholic cemetery in Amherst. The cemetery is located on East Pleasant Street in Amherst and is maintained by Mr. Gary Meehan during spring, fall and summer months. Mr. Bill Meehan, custodian for the parish also assists when needed.
Parishioners have been buried in the cemetery for well over a century and in August of each year, we gather to celebrate Eucharist for all those buried there.
A committee appointed by the Parish Pastoral Council manages the cemetery. All cemetery costs are paid from the sale of cemetery lots, charges for grave openings and revenue from Perpetual Care monies that are held in trust. Bequests and donations from families of those buried in the cemetery have helped us considerably over the years.
Saint Charles – Nativity Cemetery have memorial cards available at our funeral homes and the Parish Office for your donations. Please consider this charity when making a memorial donation..
